Durante quatro dias, a Igreja Evangélica Assembleia de Deus em Petrolina realizou o 26 Congresso de Mocidade. O evento que teve como tema ” Firmados na Rocha , somos inabaláveis”, reuniu centenas de jovens entre os dias 16 a 19 de novembro de 2017, fizeram do centro de Convenções de Petrolina um palco para louvor e adoração.
Com programação diversificada, e contando com o apoio dos pastores, presbíteros e diáconos, a comunidade jovem da Assembleia de Deus de Petrolina, mostrou que cresce em numero de jovens, bem como em realização de evento de grande porte.
A 26ª edição do Congresso de jovens contou com a participação de diversas autoridades eclesiásticas que estiveram ministrando a palavra, e trazendo diversas manifestações de dons, que puderam ser constatados no evento. Quem participou também , foi o vereador Osinaldo Souza, que é evangélico há muitos anos e faz parte do quadro de membros da Assembleia de Deus em Petrolina. Musica, teatro, animação e alegrai fizeram dos quatros, dias de festa e agradecimento a Deus.
Jovens abraçando o Evangelho cresceu
O crescimento dos jovens evangélicos no Brasil continua intenso e agora, segundo levantamento realizado em todo o país pelo instituto Datafolha, o número de jovens se convertendo chega a 29%, sete pontos percentuais a mais do que o Censo 2010 do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) registrou.
Para o vereador Osinaldo souza,o momento revela que a juventude está mais atenta ao que acontece no mundo, e opta por ir por caminho diferente. ” Par mim, que me converti muito jovens, significa dizer que estou muito feliz, por ver o movimento crescente de jovens escolhendo evangelgo ao invés das drogas. Isso é simplesmente divino e maravilhoso! Glória a Deus por isso. E que mais eventos como esse sejam realizados.”, disse o vereador.
