O leilão da estatal foi feito na manhã de ontem (11), na Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico (SDE), no Centro Administrativo da Bahia (CAB), como parte do processo de alienação societária da Ebal.
A proposta da NGV foi a única. Este foi o terceiro leilão realizado, sendo que os dois primeiros não atraíram participantes. Com a compra, o grupo adquiriu, além da participação acionária da Ebal, os fundos de comércio relativos às 49 lojas da Cesta do Povo, além do direito de exploração da marca Cesta do Povo e o Programa Credicesta.
Para arrematar a estatal, o investidor espanhol se associou ao presidente da Associação Baiana dos Supermercados (Abase), Joel Feldman, a quem caberia administrar as lojas da antiga rede. O resultado do leilão será homologado nos próximos dias. Uma das condições é a manutenção significativa de postos de trabalho.
