O ministro Luís Roberto Barroso, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), determinou que o governo federal deve exigir comprovante de vacinação contra a covid-19 para viajantes que entrarem no País. A decisão é liminar e foi tomada na tarde desta sábado, 11.
Barroso atendeu a uma ação protocolada no Supremo pela Rede Sustentabilidade. “A situação é ainda mais grave se considerado que o Brasil é destino turístico para festas de fim de ano, pré-carnaval e carnaval, entre outros eventos, o que sugere aumento do fluxo de viajantes entre o final do ano e o início do ano de 2022”, escreveu.
Nesta semana, o governo determinou que os viajantes poderiam cumprir quarentena de cinco dias, sem a necessidade de apresentação do comprovante.
Na decisão, o ministro assinalou que a substituição da apresentação do passaporte de vacina pela quarentena deve ser aplicada somente a viajantes que não sejam elegíveis para a vacinação, de acordo com critérios médicos.
