O corpo do cantor e compositor Luiz Melodia, 66, chegou neste sábado (5) ao Cemitério do Catumbi, na região central do Rio, acompanhado por um cortejo que partiu da quadra da Escola de Samba Estácio de Sá, próximo do local
Cerca de 150 amigos e fãs do cantor entraram no cemitério cantando as músicas mais famosas de Melodia, como “Pérola Negra” e “Estácio, Holly Estácio” e receberam o carro funerário com aplausos.
O cantor morreu na madrugada desta sexta-feira em decorrência de um câncer na medula óssea. Ele estava internado no hospital Quinta D’Or. O corpo foi velado na quadra da Estácio.
