Após ser denunciada pelos atores Bruno Gagliasso e Giovanna Ewbank por injúria racial, a socialite Day McCarthy será convocada a prestar depoimento por meio de carta rogatória, instrumento de colaboração jurídica entre dois países, já que ela mora no Canadá.
Identificada pela Polícia do Rio de Janeiro como Dayane Alcântara Couto de Andrade, de 28 anos, a escritora e socialite — como ela se autodeclara — revoltou as redes sociais no fim de semana ao publicar um vídeo chamando a filha do casal, a pequena Titi, de 4 anos, de “macaca”.
De acordo com a titular da Delegacia de Repressão aos Crimes de Informática (DRCI) do Rio de Janeiro, Daniela Terra, Dayane responderá pelos crimes de injúria racial, injúria e difamação. Em um vídeo nas redes sociais, a socialite questionou como duas pessoas brancas, dos olhos claros teriam uma filha negra.
“A menina é preta, tem o cabelo horrível de pico de palha e tem o nariz de preto”, disparou. E ainda destacou que “o povo só puxa o saco porque é adotada por famosos”. Titi foi adotada no ano passado, em Malawi, na África, por Giovanna e Gagliasso.
