Depois da repercussão da notícia sobre a prisão de jornalistas e o fechamento de um canal de notícias na Nicarágua, a advogada e deputada Janaina Paschoal (PSL-SP) se pronunciou no Twitter, afirmando que o Brasil deveria desconvidar o ditador Daniel Ortega para a posse de Jair Bolsonaro (PSL).
“Se ainda não o fez, o Brasil haveria de desconvidar a Nicarágua para a posse do Presidente. Será constrangedor receber um país em que se prendem jornalistas por fazerem seu trabalho. Infelizmente, a cada dia, a Nicarágua se aproxima mais de Cuba e Venezuela”, escreveu Janaina.
Na noite de sexta-feira (21), o regime ditatorial na Nicarágua fechou o canal 100% Notícias e prendeu o diretor Miguel Mora e outros três jornalistas. A sede da emissora foi invadida por uma operação policial. As autoridades do país não se manifestaram sobre a intervenção.
A perseguição ao canal a cabo se deve ao fato dele ter liderado a cobertura dos protestos contra a ditadura, quando chegou a ser censurado por seis dias.
