Com o fim do imposto sindical, determinado pela reforma trabalhista, que entrou em vigor neste sábado, mais de 3 mil sindicatos podem desaparecer. A afirmação foi feita pelo ministro do Trabalho, Ronaldo Nogueira, ao portal de notícias G1. 

Agora, o trabalhador não é mais obrigado a contribuir, anualmente, com o equivalente a um dia de trabalho para o sindicato que o representa (o correspondente a 4,5% de um salário). Estima-se que o fim do imposto afetará 30% da receita dos sindicatos.

Na avaliação do ministro, com a mudança, parte dos sindicatos deverá se fundir a outros. Atualmente, cerca de 11,3 mil sindicatos representam os trabalhadores no país. Ronaldo Nogueira disse ao G1 que acredita que os sindicatos menos representativos – que, ao seu ver, são aqueles que não realizaram nos últimos três anos acordos coletivos – tendem a desaparecer.

O ministro descartou a possibilidade de haver um período de transição para o imposto sindical deixar de existir. Segundo ele, a nova lei trabalhista, que determina o fim da cobrança, será respeitada.

A idéia é que a partir de agora a contribuição sindical seja facultativa e que o valor para subsidiar as despesas dos sindicatos seja acordado em assembléia com os trabalhadores. Em 2016, o imposto sindical arrecadou R$ 3,53 bilhões.
