O eleitor que não votou e não justificou a ausência nas últimas três eleições ou não pagou as multas correspondentes tem até esta terça-feira (2) para regularizar sua situação perante a Justiça Eleitoral. Quem não o fizer, pode ter seu título cancelado, lembrando que a legislação considera cada turno um pleito diferente para efeito de cancelamento.
Segundo o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), em todo o país, mais de 1,8 milhão de eleitores estão com seus títulos irregulares por ausência nas três últimas eleições. Em São Paulo (SP), esse número chega a 118.837 eleitores; no Rio de Janeiro (RJ) o total é de 119.734; em Belo Horizonte (MG) são 26.570; em Salvador (BA), 31.263; e em Porto Alegre (RS), 18.782.
O cancelamento automático dos títulos de eleitores ocorrerá entre 17 a 19 de maio de 2017.
Os eleitores com voto facultativo (analfabetos, eleitores de 16 a 18 anos incompletos e maiores de 70 anos) ou com deficiência previamente informada à Justiça Eleitoral não necessitam comparecer ao cartório para regularizar a situação.
Para regularizar o título no cartório eleitoral, o eleitor deverá apresentar documento oficial com foto, comprovante de residência e, se possuir, título eleitoral e os comprovantes de votação, de justificativa ou de quitação de multa.
