Uma Lei que já funciona em outros municípios brasileiros , poderá ser aprovada em Petrolina. O vereador Gaturiano Cigano (PRP), depois de ter viajado por algumas cidades para conhecer como funciona a Lei, apresentará o projeto na Câmara de Petrolina-PE. A ideia central é favorecer um tempo a mais para que o motorista possa regularizar a situação do veiculo que esteja com o IPVA atrasado. Nesses casos, depois de informar ao motorista sobre o atraso do pagamento do imposto, o veiculo não seria apreendido nas fiscalizações da Autarquia Municipal de Mobilidade de Petrolina (AMMPLA). No entanto, não exime o motorista do pagamento. A proposta ressalta que, a legislação valerá apenas para as vias fiscalizadas pelo órgão municipal de trânsito.
“Não entrarão na nossa proposta, as vias fiscalizadas pelos órgãos de trânsito estadual e federal. Nosso intuito é dar aos condutores mais tempo para regularização da situação do veiculo. Eles não seriam penalizados com o recolhimento do veículo, muitas vezes utilizado para o sustento da família, enquanto negociam o pagamento do imposto devido”, concluiu o vereador.
