PT acusa ‘omissão’ e quer obrigar governo a adotar medidas contra incêndios
A sigla pede ainda que os ministros determinem a criação de uma comissão multidisciplinar independente para acompanhar a atuação do governo.
O Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) entrou nesta quinta-feira, 24, com uma ação no Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) para obrigar o governo federal a cumprir uma série de medidas de contenção ao avanço e aos efeitos das queimadas que atingem a Amazônia e o Pantanal em Mato Grosso, que já teve 15% de sua área comprometida pelo fogo.
Entre as iniciativas propostas, estão a adoção de esforços operacionais, envolvendo a disponibilização de recursos humanos, de infraestrutura e financeiros; a apresentação estudos sobre o impacto dos incêndios para a população da região e a elaboração de um projeto de saúde pública integrada com estados e municípios voltado ao atendimento às comunidades afetadas; e a instituição de um programa de tratamento veterinário aos animais silvestres resgatados.
A sigla pede ainda que os ministros determinem a criação de uma comissão multidisciplinar independente para acompanhar a atuação do governo. A sugestão é que grupo seja formado por pesquisadores e cientistas, representantes da sociedade civil com atuação comprovada em entidades que trabalham pela defesa do meio ambiente, autoridades dos governos estaduais onde estão alocados os biomas atingidos e lideranças das comunidades indígenas, ribeirinhas e quilombolas afetadas.
“É inequívoca a falha na política ambiental implementada atualmente no Brasil, o que se traduz não apenas em mera ilegalidade, mas na absoluta inconstitucionalidade da conduta do Poder Público, sobretudo do Governo Federal”, diz um trecho da ação. “São duas as mãos que acendem o fogo dos biomas brasileiros. É grave que uma delas seja a do governo federal na medida em que recusa o exercício dos poderes de polícia. É grave que as mãos do governo federal não se mobilizem adequadamente para apagá-lo”, completa.
Por fim, o PT requer que o Ministério do Meio Ambiente, comandado por Ricardo Salles, apresente explicação detalhada sobre a execução orçamentária em 2019 e 2020. Isso porque os gastos com ações de gestão ambiental do País vêm caindo desde o ano passado.
“Trata-se de clara uma opção política de não investir recursos na área ambiental”, acusa o partido.
