PE: DNIT lança licitação para obras de duplicação da BR-423, entre Caruaru e Garanhuns

A BR-423, rodovia federal que liga a região de Caruaru à cidade de Garanhuns, no Pernambuco vai ser duplicada, de acordo com o Ministério da Infraestrutura. As obras serão realizadas pelo Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transportes (DNIT). Inicialmente, a readequação viária deve ocorrer do km 18,20, no entroncamento com a BR-232, até o km 60, em Lajedo. Ao todo, serão construídos 83,60 quilômetros de pista dupla, nos dois sentidos.
Os serviços devem iniciar no segundo semestre de 2022. Além da duplicação da rodovia, o projeto conta com trabalho de restauração de pistas existentes, a implantação da variante do Distrito das Neves, de ruas laterais, de interseções, de viadutos, de passagens inferiores, de pontes e de passarela.
Após essa etapa, o DNIT também deve executar obras no chamado Lote 02, com a continuidade dos serviços de duplicação de pista a partir do km 60, em Lajedo, até as imediações do km 86, além da restauração do pavimento até Garanhuns, no km 107.
