Em Petrolina, 60% dos integrantes da Guarda Civil Municipal trabalham com uniforme em péssimo estado. A afirmação é de um guarda-civil que preferiu não se identificar por medo de represálias. Ele afirma que os guardas atuam em horário administrativo e em setores que não exigem o fardamento. “Os outros 40% que atuam realmente no policiamento nas ruas tem uniforme porque compraram do próprio bolso”, disse. Segundo ele, há três anos, a Guarda municipal de Petrolina não recebe fradamentos e EPI.
A discussão sobre a falta dos uniformes começou depois que a guarda-municipal foi alvo de críticas por ter denunciado que a prefeitura quer (e vai) dividir a sede da Guarda com o grupamento de Vigilantes Patrimoniais.
” Foi aprovado um projeto na gestão de Júlio Lóssio para ser repassado para os guardas um valor, ficando os guardas responsáveis em comprar sua própria farda, mas nunca foi regulamentado.Como já fazem quase mais de tres anos que não recebemos fardamento, os guardas para não andar parecendo um mendigo, compram do seu próprio bolso, fardamento, coturno, cinto de guarnição, capa de colete e outros EPI e tudo caro viu?”,desabafou o GCM.
