TRE-PE: eleições suplementares serão realizadas em 3 municípios pernambucanos
A decisão é do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral de Pernambuco (TRE-PE).
Capoeiras e Palmeirina, no Agreste, e Maraial, na Zona da Mata Meridional, realizarão no dia 3 de outubro eleições suplementares, isso acontecerá por que atualmente os municípios estão sendo administrados provisoriamente pelos presidentes das Câmaras de Vereadores. A decisão é do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral de Pernambuco (TRE-PE).
Em Maraial, o prefeito Sérgio da Farinha (Avante) teve o diploma cassado, juntamente com seu vice-prefeito, Ananias Júnior, respectivamente, por abuso de poder econômico. O Judiciário Eleitoral do Estado decidiu que haverá uma nova eleição no município, uma vez que o primeiro suplente de vereador, Josivaldo Silva dos Santos, também foi condenado por abuso de poder e ficará inelegível por oito anos. O prefeito e o vice já foram afastados do cargo. O TRE-PE ainda não divulgou a data da nova eleição.
Em Capoeiras, a candidatura de Luiz Claudino de Souza (PL) foi indeferida pelo TRE-PE em 13 de novembro de 2021, e a decisão foi confirmada em abril deste ano. Já em Palmeirina, a candidatura de Severino Eudson Catão Ferreira (MDB) foi indeferida pela Justiça Eleitoral em outubro de 2020. Nesse caso, tanto o TRE-PE quanto o TSE confirmaram a decisão também este ano.
