O aplicativo de mensagens WhatsApp deixará de funcionar em alguns modelos antigos de celulares no começo de 2017.
Segundo o “Olhar Digital”, os modelos nos quais o app deixará de operar já caíram de desuso e estão há cinco anos sem receber atualizações dos seus sistemas operacionais.
Confira os aparelhos que perderão o acesso:
– Todos os Androids com a versão 2.1 (Eclair) ou 2.2 (Froyo)
– iPhone 3GS ou qualquer aparelho com o iOS 6;
– Qualquer aparelho com o Windows Phone 7.
Em fevereiro deste ano, a empresa já havia anunciado que outros equipamentos como BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 e Nokia Symbian S60 também perderiam o acesso, mas acabou voltando atrás e estendendo o prazo de funcionamento nestes modelos até 30 de junho de 2017.
“Esta foi uma decisão difícil de ser feita, porém foi a decisão certa para que pudéssemos oferecer as pessoas, melhores maneiras de manter contato com família, amigos e entes queridos utilizando o WhatsApp. Caso você utilize um destes aparelhos, nós recomendamos que troque por um aparelho Android, Apple ou Windows Phone mais atual antes do fim de 2016 para que possa continuar usando o WhatsApp”, diz a empresa.
