De olho nas eleições presidenciais de 2018, o Partido dos Trabalhadores não vai lançar um candidato próprio para governador em até 16 Estados e deve apoiar nomes de outras legendas. Em contrapartida, os petistas esperam obter espaço em palanques regionais para a campanha à presidência da República, encabeçada, até o momento, pelo ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Como revelado pela “Folha de S. Paulo” em matéria divulgada neste domingo (8), para apoiarem candidatos que tenham chance de vencer nos Estados, o PT deve se aliar até a siglas que trabalharam para o impeachment da ex-presidente Dilma Rousseff, como o PMDB, PTB e PSB.
São citadas as candidaturas de Renan Filho (PMDB), em Alagoas; Roberto Requião (PMDB), no Paraná; Paulo Câmara (PSB), em Pernambuco; Renato Casagrande (PSB), no Espírito Santo; e Armando Monteiro (PTB), em Pernambuco. Todos integram o governo do presidente Michel Temer (PMDB) e apoiaram a queda de Dilma.
Com essa estratégia, o PT espera que os candidatos regionais abram espaço para a campanha nacional petista, seja com Lula ou outro candidato, caso o ex-presidente não possa concorrer.
Informações fornecidas por líderes do partido ao jornal mostram que os candidatos da sigla devem ser reduzidos de 17, nas eleições de 2014, para 11, em 2018.
Contudo, o partido só vai discutir esses cenários oficialmente no fim do mês, pois, segundo dirigentes, as prioridades são as candidaturas nacionais: presidente, deputado e senador.
A estratégia é uma maneira de compensar o isolamento da sigla com a Lava Jato e o impeachment de Dilma. Apesar disso, a aliança com o PT ainda interessa aos demais partidos porque os petistas elegeram a maior bancada de deputados em 2014, e, por isso, têm uma fatia significativa do tempo de propaganda de rádio e TV, que pode ser cedida aos aliados.
Além disso, muitos ainda querem se aproximar de Lula, pois o ex-presidente ainda é muito popular em diversos Estados, especial do Nordeste.
