A Prefeitura de Petrolina iniciou o pagamento dos artistas que se apresentaram no carnaval 2017. O evento foi realizado de 25 a 28 de Fevereiro. O pagamento dos cachês para os 34 artistas contratados através da administração municipal, vem sendo efetuado desde quarta-feira (29). .
Segundo a secretária de Cultura, Turismo e Esportes, Maria Elena Alencar, a prefeitura cumpre seu papel ao realizar o pagamento.
“Fizemos um compromisso e estamos cumprindo. O pagamento já está sendo liberado desde esta quarta-feira e até o fim desta semana todos já deverão ter recebido os devidos cachês”, disse Maria Elena.
