Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), o deputado federal mais votado do Brasil em 2022, vai responder na justiça por injúria racial.
O deputado federal Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) vai responder por injúria racial contra a também deputada federal Duda Salabert (PDT-MG).
A decisão é do Tribunal de Justiça de Minas Gerais (TJMG), que atendeu a um pedido do Ministério Público de Minas Gerais (MPMG) nesta terça-feira (7).
NIKOLAS FERREIRA PODE SER PRESO?
A queixa-crime foi apresentada por Duda em dezembro de 2020 quando ambos eram vereadores em Belo Horizonte.
Na época, Nikolas Ferreira disse a um veículo de comunicação que Duda era homem porque “é isso que está na certidão”.
Em seu pedido, o MP usou como base um entendimento do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) e sustentou que ofensa à honra pessoal, em desrespeito à identidade de gênero, é um tipo de racismo.
Se condenado, Nikolas pode pegar até três anos de reclusão, pena máxima estabelecida pelo crime de injúria racial.
O caso aconteceu antes da mudança na lei que impõe pena máxima de cinco anos.
