Em Petrolina, o nome do ex-prefeito Guilherme Coelho, está sendo cogitado para ser candidato a prefeito em 2024.Porém, para seus eleitores, essa estória, ao que parece não tem sido bem aceita por aqueles que conhecem o ex-prefeito. Assessor especial da governadora Raquel Lyra, Guilherme, está dando a entender que o candidato será o vereador Ronaldo Silva, braço direito e amigo do ex-prefeito. Ronaldo, que agora é oposição ao grupo do prefeito Simão, tem trabalhado para expor as mazelas da cidade.

É com grande satisfação que venho agradecer pelo carinho e reconhecimento pelo meu trabalho como parlamentar, é muito gratificante. Quero deixar claro que não serei candidato a prefeito de Petrolina, serei pré-candidato a reeleição ao mesmo cargo que desempenho hoje.
Ao longo desses três mandatos confiados a mim pela população de Petrolina, tenho buscado trabalhar para garantir os direitos da população nos diversos setores, como: na saúde, na educação e tenho lutado pela melhoria da infraestrutura dos bairros e fiscalizado o executivo.
Sigo atuando na oposição de maneira responsável, representando o povo, vou seguir contribuindo como vereador na nossa cidade atuando no legislativo, trabalhando em prol de políticas públicas e projetos que beneficiem a todos os cidadãos.
