A OEA entrou no jogo do impeachment

A Comissão Interamericana de Direitos Humanos enviou na data de ontem notificação ao Estado brasileiro, através da Presidência da República,  sobre a denúncia feita pelos deputados do PT contra a natureza golpista do impeachment, que violaria os direitos políticos da presidente afastada Dilma Rousseff e dos eleitores brasileiros que lhe conferiram o mandato.
A reação do organismo internacional acontece a poucos dias do julgamento final pelo Senado, aumentando o constrangimento dos condutores do processo, que irão se defrontar com a presença da própria Dilma em plenário. Neste momento, a ênfase do PT é na denúncia internacional da escalada de criminalização contra Lula e Dilma, a exemplo da cartilha multilíngue que está sendo divulgada junto a embaixadas e organismos multilaterais, denunciando a perseguição judicial ao ex-presidente.
Na correspondência, assinada por Mario López Garelli, em nome da Secretaria Executiva da comissão, são pedidas algumas explicações ao governo brasileiro sobre aspectos do processo, como a observância do devido processo legal e do direito de defesa, a existência de recursos judiciais pendentes e os fundamentos da acusação.
Cópias da notificação foram enviadas aos deputados Wadi Damous, Paulo Pimenta e Paulo Teixeira, signatários da denúncia.
