Os números são impressionantes. De janeiro a junho deste ano, a Seguradora Líder-DPVAT pagou, em média, a cada 24 horas, 107 indenizações aos familiares de pessoas mortas em acidentes de trânsito nas ruas e estradas brasileiras. Isso significa 4,5 registros a cada hora ou ainda uma indenização paga a cada 15 minutos.
Em comparação ao primeiro semestre do ano passado, houve um surpreendente crescimento de 27,5% do número de indenizações por morte pagas pela Seguradora Líder-DPVAT.
Os números também são elevados no que se refere às indenizações por invalidez permanente de vítimas dos acidentes no trânsito. Até junho, foram 144.950 registros. Embora tenha havido uma queda de 14% em comparação aos seis primeiros meses de 2016, assusta a média diária de indenizações pagas, da ordem de 805 desembolsos para as vítimas. Isso significa, 33,5 indenizações por invalidez permanente pagas por hora ou ainda oito a cada 15 minutos.
Os valores máximos indenizáveis, variam de acordo com a gravidade do acidente.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
