O presidente Jair Bolsonaro chegou em Tel Aviv, capital de Israel, por volta das 4 horas deste domingo (31), e foi recebido com uma cerimônia de boas-vindas ainda no aeroporto internacional Ben Gurion. O presidente faz uma visita oficial de três dias ao país.
“Felizmente retornamos o tratamento equilibrado às questões do Oriente Médio. Meu governo está firmemente decidido em fortalecer a pareceria entre Brasil e Israel. A amizade entre nossos povos é histórica. Tivemos um momento de afastamento. Mas Deus sabe o que faz, e voltamos”, disse o presidente brasileiro ao lado do premiê Benjamin Netanyahu.
Na sexta-feira (29), o presidente disse, no Twitter, que serão negociados acordos nas áreas de ciência, tecnologia e defesa.
Ainda hoje, Bolsonaro segue para Jerusalém, onde terá uma reunião ampliada com o primeiro ministro israelense. Também participará da assinatura de acordos de cooperação e de um jantar oferecido por Netanyahu.
Na segunda-feira (1º), o presidente vai condecorar com a Insígnia da Ordem Nacional do Cruzeiro do Sul os soldados israelenses que participaram das equipes de salvamento do desastre em Brumadinho e visitará o Muro das Lamentações e a Basílica do Santo Sepulcro.
Na terça-feira (2), Bolsonaro toma café da manhã com dirigentes de startups brasileiras e israelenses e depois participa de um encontro entre empresários dos dois países. O presidente deve ainda visitar uma exposição de produtos de empresas de inovação e um centro industrial de alta tecnologia.
O presidente retorna ao Brasil na quarta-feira (3). Antes do embarque, ele deve se reunir com brasileiros que residem na cidade israelense de Raanana.
Bolsonaro está acompanhado por uma comitiva formada pelos ministros Ernesto Araújo (Relações Exteriores), Bento Costa Lima (Minas e Energia), Marcos Pontes (Ciência, Tecnologia, Informação e Comunicações), Augusto Heleno (Gabinete de Segurança Institucional), além do tenente-brigadeiro do ar Raul Botelho, chefe do Estado-Maior Conjunto das Forças Armadas, e do secretário da Pesca, Jorge Seif. O grupo ainda inclui os senadores Chico Rodrigues (DEM-RR), Flávio Bolsonaro (PSL-RJ) e Soraya Thronicke (PSL-MS) e a deputada federal Bia Kicis (PSL-DF).
