O Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações – MCTIC publicou no Diário Oficial da União, a extinção de autorização de outorga de mais de 100 Rádios Comunitárias em diversas cidades no Brasil. Na Bahia foram extintas em 14 cidades, sendo Amargosa; Aracatu; Belo Campo; Brejões; Camaçari (FUNASC); Campo Formoso; Candiba; Itororó; Morro do Chapéu; Riachão das Neves; Sátiro Dias; Simões Filho; Várzea da Roça (A.C.C.B.V.V.) e Vera Cruz.
De acordo com o MCTIC algumas emissoras foram alvo de uma série de denuncias sobre reincidência de infrações na legislação que regulamenta a atividade das rádios comunitárias no pais. Para Fernando Henrique Chagas, conselheiro da Abert e presidente da Associação Baiana de Rádio e Televisão – Abart, a decisão foi muito importante.
