O ministro do STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal) Ricardo Lewandowski anunciou nesta quinta-feira (30) que vai se aposentar em 11 de abril, um mês antes do que o prazo-limite para que ele deixe a corte. No dia 11 de maio, o magistrado completaria 75 anos, a idade em que teria que se retirar da corte.
Lewandowski participou nesta quinta da sua última sessão no STF e, em seguida, entregou ofício à ministra Rosa Weber, presidente da corte, anunciando a data e pedindo para que encaminhasse o pedido de antecipação ao presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
Após o pedido, ele disse à imprensa que a medida se deve a compromissos acadêmicos e profissionais que lhe aguardam, que encerra um ciclo de sua vida e espera iniciar outro. Questionado, ele não respondeu se ocupará algum cargo no governo Lula e negou que tivesse indicado pretendentes a sua vaga no STF.
“Saio daqui com a convicção de que cumpri a minha missão, estou com o gabinete praticamente zerado de processos. Só existem aqueles que estão pendentes de alguns despachos de natureza administrativa, mas parto para novas jornadas”, disse.
